About FLIP NC

FLIP NC is an all-volunteer, grassroots organization using targeted, direct voter outreach to elect progressives in North Carolina. In 2018, we knocked 20,000 doors and sent 250,000 text messages to left-leaning voters in competitive legislative districts, helping to break the supermajorities in both chambers of the NC General Assembly (NCGA). In 2020, we scaled up, making 400,000 calls to left-leaning voters in competitive legislative districts and sending 1.4 million text messages to left-leaning voters statewide, turning out thousands of additional voters for Democrats.

FLIP NC was on hiatus for 2022 but is back for 2024!

For 2024, we’re returning to our roots with an updated version of the highly effective voter outreach plan we ran in 2018. We’ll be knocking doors, dropping lit, and texting voting information to left-leaning voters statewide.

As always, our mission is turning out left-leaning voters and making sure they know to vote the full ballot. While our focus this year is on critical judicial elections, our voter outreach strategy will help turn out voters for Democrats up and down the ballot.

FLIP NC runs direct voter outreach, supports grassroots partners, and provides election analysis to help drive progressive strategy and targeting across the state.
