FLIP NC is a Durham-based all-volunteer grassroots group that began running large-scale, direct voter outreach in 2017. Our work was critical to flipping at least three legislative seats in 2018 and turning out thousands of left-leaning voters in 2020.

As a volunteer-run organization, FLIP NC’s cost per new voter is unmatched, thanks to both a well-targeted voter outreach model and an incredible network of outstanding volunteers.

FLIP NC’s budget for 2020 was funded entirely by individual donors, including both one-time and recurring donations. We were on hiatus for 2022 but are back in action for 2024. While our focus this year is on critical judicial elections, our voter outreach plan will help turn out voters for Democrats up and down the ballot.

Being a volunteer-powered organization means we don’t have a dedicated team of fundraisers. But it also means your donation goes a long way to reaching voters – and the more funds we can raise, the more voters we can reach!

FLIP NC is working to turn out left-leaning voters so we can flip seats blue. As a registered Independent Expenditure Committee, we are free to spend up to 100% of our funding on partisan activities.
