Cumberland County is a critical target for voter outreach in North Carolina, with competitive races in the NC House, NC Senate, and US House. While the pool of untapped voters (registered voters who did not vote in 2018) leans heavily Democratic here, Cumberland County was one of the few counties with competitive races in North Carolina that saw no increase in Democratic primary turnout in 2020. That means turnout-focused voter outreach here is critical for 2020!
