Linda Cooper-Suggs is a retired educator and Wilson County Democratic Party chairwoman. Her top priorities are to increase funding for public schools, expand access to affordable healthcare, and provide adequate coronavirus relief to families and local communities.

A few moments ago, I was seated as a member of the NC House of Representatives. As a young black girl raised on a small farm, never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined that l would be blessed with the opportunity to serve her community in the NCGA.

HOLDING this seat is essential to shifting the balance of power in Raleigh so we can have a legislature that works for everyday North Carolinians by fully supporting public education, expanding Medicaid to reduce health care costs for everyone, and protecting our natural resources from greedy corporations.

About NC House District 24

This district has long been Democratic-held, but the former Democratic incumbent’s race in 2018 was close, so we can’t take this seat for granted. Every vote matters!
