Meet Jason Cain!
Democratic Candidate for NC House District 51 (Harnett and Lee Counties)
Jason Cain, a 10-year Army veteran and current public-school educator, is running to flip this district blue in November. His top priorities are to increase public school funding – especially in rural districts like his that are particularly underfunded – expand Medicaid, support rural hospitals, and fight for higher pay and workers’ rights.
A running theme in my life has been being on the front lines and being a part of the fight. I learned in the military that we don’t leave someone behind. One of the reasons I’m running in North Carolina right now is because we are leaving students behind.

Flipping this seat is essential to shifting the balance of power in Raleigh so we can have a legislature that works for everyday North Carolinians by fully supporting public education, expanding Medicaid to reduce health care costs for everyone, and protecting our natural resources from greedy corporations.
