-Rep. Ray Russell, NC House District 93
Protecting this seat is essential to shifting the balance of power in our state legislature so we can fight for fair voting maps in 2021, finally expand medicaid to reduce health care costs for everyone, increase support for public education, and stop greedy corporations from polluting our air and water.
About NC House District 93
This is a very competitive district. Trump won it by a significant margin in 2016, but Rep. Russell flipped it from red to blue in 2018, winning by a 4-point margin despite the districts’ slight Republican lean. Rep. Russell is a strong incumbent who is well positioned to hold this seat and continue his fight for the people of Western NC if enough left-leaning voters turn out and vote the full ballot.
