Phone and Text Banking

Phone banking update: FLIP NC has always focused primarily on turning out sporadic, left-leaning voters, who are best reached before the traditional GOTV (get-out-the-vote) period begins. Our phone banking program ran from May through mid-October. Now that traditional GOTV is underway, FLIP NC has transitioned away from traditional phone banking to make way for the organizations that do this work.

If you are an experienced FLIP NC phone banker who would like to continue making calls with us, please consider joining an upcoming “virtual canvass” (held via Zoom, similarly to our traditional phone banks) to help us call back receptive voters we spoke with during a previous phone bank who would like more information or who agreed to spread the word to their networks.

If you would like to help with GOTV phone banking in North Carolina, we encourage you to either reach out directly to a legislative candidate who resonates with you in a competitive district (their campaign websites list volunteer opportunities!) or join one of the amazing organizations below for GOTV and candidate phone banking. All of these organizations work in multiple FLIP NC target districts.

Text banking update: We have completed our primary text banking program, reaching left-leaning voters across our target districts twice (once with candidate/district info and once with county-level early voting info). We are currently raising funds to add additional, smaller text banks to reach left-leaning voters outside these competitive districts in support of statewide races.
